Halloween Parties!

Halloween parties have grown in popularity over the years and have become another excuse for people of all ages to get together and let their hair down. Parties arranged for this ghoulish occasion come in all shapes and sizes; from grandiose masquerade balls with full brass bands and fire jugglers to small family orientated affairs with cosy bonfires, carved out pumpkins and everything in between. Whatever the event it’s almost certain that any entertainment you provide will heighten the atmosphere and create the perfect night. There are various types of entertainers and bands that are suitable for Halloween parties including jugglers and acrobats to wow your guests with their risqué performances. Even mime acts can entertain your guests and any entertainment is bound to get them mingling and give them something to talk about which is always useful if you have guests that haven't met before. This is especially useful for events on a large scale as there are likely to be a variety of people at your event and entertainers such as these will provide a talking point to get the conversation flowing. Obviously, the entertainment you choose will depend on the factors of the venue, your budget and the age/number of your guests. Below are some entertainers that could be suitable for your Halloween party.
Magicians that entice your guests into participating in their tricks can add to the excitement of the event and can be adapted to suit your audience. From simple card tricks to disappearing acts there’s bound to be something for everyone! It’s important to remember that a magician’s set can vary in size and the more expensive ones will offer more extravagant performances and may need more room to perform their magic. The magician will usually have an idea of what is suitable for your event but it is best to confirm that they will have enough space to impress your guests. Similarly, mind readers and Hypnotists can be hired to amaze your guests with their incredible ‘special powers’. These types of entertainers can be fantastic for parties of all sizes and will get everyone involved and make sure it’s a party to remember! For events on a larger scale consider hiring actors to play the part of a scary ghost or vampire to give your guests a fright! Naturally, there are plenty of bands to choose from to provide musical entertainment for your Halloween party. Cover bands are a particularly popular choice as they give you the option of having a specific style of music throughout the night. You could have the band play hits from classic films such as The Rocky Horror Picture show or spooky favourites such as Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’! As the night goes on your band could stick with the theme, or play more current songs to keep your guests on their feet. Whilst a band will usually be more expensive than hiring a dj it will give a completely different atmosphere and it'll be worth it to see your guests dancing away in their spooky Halloween costumes! If a band is out of your budget, it’s always possible to hire a DJ, who could supply you with lights and even karaoke!
If there are children at your party you could hire entertainment specifically aimed at keeping them amused while the adults are partying the night away. Magicians are suitable for all and can vary their act, so its possible that they may be able to perform for the children early on in the night and then provide an adapted version for the grown ups later on! Depending on their age, a Balloon artist may be just the thing to wow the children and they will be thrilled as the performer twists and turns a single balloon into their favourite Halloween creature! Face painters are also purrrrfect and both adults and children alike will love having their face painted to look like a witches cat! Halloween parties are a fantastic opportunity to get together and enjoy a spectacular night celebrating the spookiest night of the year. So whether it is a family event with games and entertainment for the children, or a large-scale fancy dress party for work colleagues, the entertainment you choose is guaranteed to wake the dead!
